Bell Schedules
Daily School Schedule
RMS follows a flexible, modified block schedule. Each student has nine periods, one of which is lunch. Exact class times will vary by grade level, but all students are to be at school by 7:45 am  Students being dropped off by parents should not arrive before 7:30 am and are dismissed at 3:05 pm and 3:10 pm.

Bells ring only 5 times a day:
  • 7:47 to begin Homeroom
  • 8:15 to end Homeroom
  • 1:35
  • 3:05 for 1st Dismissal
  • 3:10 for 2nd Dismissal (includes walkers)

If parents are picking up students other than at the regular dismissal time, they must park in the visitors' lot and physically check in the office to sign children out when picking them up. The exit road is closed each day from 2:50 to 3:20 p.m. for buses and no cars will be allowed to leave RMS between those times.

Class Schedules
Grade level teams determine the class times for their students during core instructional time periods within their own wings of the building. However, class times are somewhat flexible and may be adjusted to accommodate advisory, clubs, school delays, special projects and labs, assemblies, PBS events, and/or early dismissals.

During core instructional time, students usually have two periods of Language Arts and Math and one period each of Science and Social Studies daily. The exceptions are those 7th and 8th grade students who elect to take German in place of one Language Arts class. Each student spends two class periods taking Related Arts classes which can include band and chorus.

Typical schedules for each team are as follows:
* May be flexed or varied for special needs
