Edline is an online program that allows parents and students to view grade reports, class activities and assignments posted by the teachers.  It also permits them to see other general information about school events and activities.

The site is found at http://www.edline.net  General school information can be viewed by the public, but private reports about a student can only be viewed with a registered account via a secure ID and password. There are both student accounts and parent accounts.  The parent accounts can be set up to allow access to all children in the family with one login identity.  Students can only view their own information.

Obtaining an Edline Account     (Parents)   (Students)

Complete the form below to obtain a parent Edline activation code.  Technology Integration Specialists routinely attend parent nights and open house events at the schools at the beginning of each year to help parents set up Edline accounts.  There are also Parent Involvement Network Coordinators at most elementary schools who can help in this process.  Student accounts are handled at the secondary schools by the school Technology Integration Specialists.

How do I get a parent Edline account?

Request a Parent Edline Account
 -  Complete the form by specifying the student(s) name(s), grade level(s), and school(s) on the form and stating the legal relationship that qualifies you to be able to view the confidential information about those students.  The information provided will be verified in the WVEIS student information database before the code is sent out.

Parents may email the Technology Department for more information:  or or call 304-822-3528, ext 160 or 165.  Leave a message with a call back number.  In order to set up accounts, it is necessary to know the student(s)' names, grades and the school(s) attended.  Only the student and/or the biological parents or legal guardians may obtain access to a student's grades.

Once you have obtained an activation code, follow these written directions to establish your account, Activating a Parent Edline Account, or you may see an animated tutorial and listen to audio directions explaining what to do, Steps for Registering an Edline Account(You must have sound enabled and make sure the volume is not muted.)

Remember that when a student moves to another school for any reason such as being promoted to middle or high school, a new activation code is required for both students and parents, but the existing screen names and passwords can still be used, if known.

Requests for accounts cannot be completed for the next school year before the beginning of September.

How do I get a student Edline account?
(Middle and high school students only) -

HHS - Please see or email, Mr. Mark Fletcher (), the Technology Integration Specialist, at HHS.  In the high school, activation codes are normally distributed in the advisory/homeroom classes so the homeroom/advisory teacher may contact Mr. Flectcher to get the class codes.

CBMS & RMS - Remember that each year the 6th graders at each middle school are given the chance to sign up in one of their classes.  Other middle school students should contact the school Technology Integration Specialist or ask their homeroom teacher to contact him.  The contact at CBMS is Mr. James White (), Technology Integration Specialist, and at RMS it is Mr. Robert Colebank (), Technology Integration Specialist.

Once you have obtained an activation code, follow these written directions to establish your account, Activating a Student Edline Account.

NOTE: Elementary students are not normally given their own student Edline accounts and 6th graders are given an opportunity and instruction to create their own accounts each year at the beginning of school in each of the county middle schools.
